Hide N Squeak Eggs

Everybody loves one of the all-time favourite games we played as a child called Hide ‘n’ Seek. With a little ‘eggy’ twist we have an innovative and playful game called Hide and Squeek’…with eggs! The idea being that your child learns the way every child wants to learn – through play!

It’s important for a toy to have engaging characteristics in order to grab the attention of young children. Brightly coloured toys is usually a good way of achieving this. The egg ‘carton’ is a bright yellow and is certain to grab any child’s attention. Inside there are 6 white eggs with cute little inviting faces on them. When the eggs are ‘cracked’ open, they reveal little chicks, all of which are also brightly coloured.

Children are intuitive and will want to know what happens if they touch or play with them. When they press down on the egg it will respond to this with a little high pitched “squeak” mimicking the sound of a little chick, and it won’t take long before they realise that their actions caused this and press it again.

This is a great little feature, but the fun doesn’t stop here… Each egg has a different shape at the bottom of the egg, which is intended to help your little one engage by finding the right shaped egg for each hole. This will help them further develop their motor and exploration skills as they figure out which egg fits where.

As they develop kids will earn to match the correct egg faces on the shell with the little chicks inside, and even older children can use their imagination to find entertainment use as they look like cool little characters. They could be ‘pretend’ pet chicks, for example.

For something so simple, there is a lot a child can get out of this and it’s very reasonably priced on Amazon too. The manufacturer’s recommended age for this product is 12 months to 15 years old, but we feel anyone above 12 may not find much interest in this, but with kids of today, you never really know! Feel free to check it out on Amazon.co.uk.
