Kidizoom VTech Blue Smartwatch
Kids are absolutely obsessed with touch-screens, much like us adults really, and they rarely fail to ask to play games on your smartphone, tablet or smart watch! Well it’s time to give them their own, and at a really reasonable price too!
The VTech Kidizoom Smart-watch is packed with fun apps to keep kids entertained. To start with, they can choose from over 50 cool different screen designs.
There are two buttons on the watch. The little button on the right takes you to the 0.3 megapixel camera, which is situated on the side of the watch. From here they take photos or switch to and record a video. The button on the left is the “home” button, which is good since it doesn’t feel like it has been overloaded.
There are some really fun features kids can play with including the three in-built learning games that come with the watch. The first is a game called “Super Detective”, which is a matching game. The next is “The Rotating Puzzle”, and finally the “Follow The Lights game”.
Kids will be able to record their voice and use the ‘wacky’ voice changer to change the sound of it, and there’s a fun little stop watch for kids that like to race each other. There’s also an alarm clock, which we’re sure you’d love them to use to get out of bed later rather than earlier!
You have the all important USB port so you can upload their favourite photos and download more games as they become available to keep it fresh. Kids get bored of games pretty quickly so they will probably want new ones added!
The screen itself is a good size for a touch screen watch at is 1.4″ diagonally. It’s receptive to touch and doesn’t have the dreaded lag you get even on some android tablets of today! It has a one-touch playback so you can watch the video you created. It looks a little bulky, but it is super lightweight and made extra durable to ensure that it can withstand the knocks and bumps it’s likely to endure.
One of the other things we are quite surprised at is the price. Usually, things like this tend to be quite expensive. but you can pick them up for around £35.00 on Amazon.co.uk. It’s recommended for children between the ages of 3 and 9 years old, and we think kids will absolutely love it!
