Star Wars R2-D2 Interactive Astromech Droid Robot – Voice Activated
From Star Wars we introduce the R2 D2 Interactive Astromech Droid! If you like robotics and Star Wars you may have just met your match! This 15 inch droid will become your friend and helper who is fully programmed to obey your commands, play games with you and help you out with your Jedi missions! Pretty cool, huh?! He has movie-accurate messages and lights, and will be much loved by any Star Wars fan or collector.
He was once loyal to Queen Amdala, but now he is loyal to you! You can get his attention by saying “Hey, R2”, and then he will be ready to listen to any of the 40 programmed commands, which include “go and patrol”, “light beam”, “play message”. If you put R2 into game mode he can play several different games with you, spins around, and plays music. If you need him to he will even guard an area using his cool sentry alarm.
He’s a very sophisticated model and comes with a secret cargo compartment, a beverage holder, a utility arm that swings down, a light beam, sound-processing microphones and even an adaptable droid mood-status indicator for so you can see what kind of mood he’s in. He has sonar navigational technology and infra-red location sensors that make him one of the coolest and most advanced droids available today.
R2 has 3 different modes that you can set him on. Put him in companion mode and he’ll respond to your commands as well as react if you ask him about some of his friends including Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. How he responds will depend on the mood his is in!
In game mode R2 will respond to more complicated commands and will also be your personal security guard protecting you and your important items. He can dance, spin and even play light tag!
The final command is more complex and gives you the ability to control R2’s movements by giving him directions. You can do this by actively telling him where to go or set a course that is programmed and he will make his way. While it is easy to get R2 to follow simple commands, it can at times be more of a challenge getting him to do the more complicated stuff.
Having said that, this is one of the coolest robot companions available today, and we are sure any robotics fan and star wars fan will enjoy playing with him.
He requires 8 batteries, 4 AA & 4 D batteries, all of which are not included. R2 is recommended for ages 8 years old and over and will need some assembly before he’s up and running. If you’d like to pick him up you can get him on Amazon.co.uk
